Carbon3.ai Partners with HPE to Offer Enterprises a Zero-Cost, Production-Ready AI Use-Case in Two Weeks.
LONDON – December 1, 2025 - Carbon3.ai today announced the launch of the Private AI Lab, the UK’s first AI compute programme powered by renewable energy. This fully funded, qualification-based programme created with HPE is designed to accelerate UK enterprise AI adoption by removing the cost, risk, and uncertainty that currently slow organisations down.
Despite the UK’s global leadership in AI research, enterprise adoption continues to lag international competitors. Most organisations struggle to move from experimentation to real operational deployment. The Private AI Lab closes that gap by offering a zero-cost engagement for qualified enterprises, delivering a high-impact, production-ready AI use case in just two weeks.
“UK enterprises want secure, sovereign, and sustainable AI infrastructure they can trust - and they want real outcomes, fast,” said Tom Humphreys, CEO of Carbon3.ai. “By removing cost and risk, and by grounding everything in sovereign, sustainable UK infrastructure, we’re accelerating enterprise adoption and helping the UK convert its AI potential into economic impact.”
Built for Scale, Speed, and Sovereignty
Developed in partnership with HPE, the Private AI Lab is built on the HPE Private Cloud AI, a turnkey enterprise AI factory solution co-developed by HPE and NVIDIA as part of the NVIDIA AI Computing by HPE portfolio. Supported by the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform and powered by NVIDIA AI infrastructure, this AI platform is purpose-built to accelerate AI from pilot to production by simplifying complex workflows and providing the control and security necessary for consistent, reliable results.
The Carbon3.ai Private AI Lab brings together UK compute, 100% off-grid renewable power, and NVIDIA AI infrastructure in a secure, compliant, and scalable environment that aligns with existing cloud and governance standards and regulatory obligations.
“UK organisations face unique AI infrastructure challenges - from strict data residency and regulatory requirements to the need for scalable, energy efficient AI infrastructure and a clear path from pilot to production,” said Matt Harris, SVP & managing director for UK, Ireland, Middle East, and Africa at HPE. “The Private AI Lab addresses these needs directly. It provides a fast, low-risk route to production-grade AI that preserves sovereignty, reduces operational complexity and supports more energy-efficient deployment at scale.”
Ending the Era of Stalled Proofs of Concept
Most enterprise AI programmes struggle to move AI pilots into production due to unclear business value, missing engineering capacity, or a lack of secure production pathways. The Private AI Lab eliminates these barriers by delivering:
“Enterprises don’t need more costly experiments- they need clear wins,” said Mick McNeil, Chief Business Officer, Carbon3.ai. “We’re giving organisations a cost-free path to prove value, build confidence, and scale AI securely across their business.”
Helping the Leaders Responsible for Driving Real Impact
The Private AI Lab is designed for the senior decision-makers tasked with driving enterprise AI adoption and value, leaders who need to secure buy-in across the organisation by creating a working use-case and proving ROI through clear metrics. With the Private AI Lab, CIOs and CTOs receive a production-ready, secure, and governed architecture that aligns with existing enterprise patterns and compliance requirements, reducing operational risk and accelerating time-to-value. CFOs gain the transparent business case and predictable cost profile they need to approve scaled investment with confidence.
Availability
The Carbon3.ai Private AI Lab is available immediately to qualified UK enterprises.
The first customer cohorts are launching ahead of the November 26th release, with strong demand expected from organisations prioritising sovereign AI, compliance assurance, and rapid, demonstrable value.
